Lost Horse Press New Poets Series:
New Poets, Short Books, Volume II

I was born in New York City in 1946, nine months and two days after my father’s return from WWII. Later we moved to a 200-year-old farmer-tenant house surrounded by woods and fields on the outskirts of Hingham, Massachusetts. At around age seven, an old drop-front desk was moved into my room, and I began writing stories about a doll with another kind of life. My first favorite poet was Ogden Nash. In my twenties I migrated west, and now live at the mouth of the Columbia river in Astoria, Oregon with my husband, the watercolorist Noel Thomas. We build aged miniature houses for collectors and museums. Around the edges I write poems.
